I'm a storyteller. I use my technical and mechanical skills in either audio, video or writing -- or any combination of the three -- with my training in cinematic and narrative story structures to distill intricate topics into engaging pieces that often underscore the human experience.

 

I obtained a Master of Science in Journalism at Northwestern University - Medill, and this portfolio is a collection of select highlights from my time there.

 

In graduate school, I advanced the previous six years that I worked in content strategy with hands-on experience in audience insights and data, long-form magazine writing, visual communications, narrative podcasting, and video journalism. I synthesized my training to produce multimedia content and arrive at possible solutions to challenges that confront the rapidly-evolving media landscape. My work involved in-depth researching, interviewing and reporting.

As to the photo, that's a headshot of me for storytelling-related gigs. I've lately played a blurred blob in the background of comedy films and episodic series. It's fun, and so is trudging, which I do under the guise of running.
